David Simon, creator of The Wire, spoke of the life and death of great American cities. He is not a story teller, but a man who has many doubts in a system that worships capitalism like a religion in this wild world. In order to validate humanity we must not exploit human use, as capitalism forces us between what we want and what we need. Capitalism has become our god, simply becuase it generates wealth. We live in a time of indulgence, always working to practice a luxurious lifestyle. Simon asks us to think if our concious decisions are the right ones.

Baltimore city as two seperate, but equal, lifestyles being practiced on a regular basis. What's amazing is that they do not coexist despite being blocks apart, as one is living a world of neglect, the other a lifestyle of indulgences.. The system is an oligarchy with 60% of the poorer ppulation representing 40% of the government. The poorer society of the city has dealt with drug issues, among other things, inhibiting their abilty to be an equal member of the whole city of Baltimore. Allowing the wealthier society to take advantage of this weakness and become victims of their capitalist, money hungry beliefs and lifefstyles. Making money the purist profit and purist profit of the world. Simon makes us wonder if the two lifestyles, money hungry and crazed are really that different after all.
